How to Improve Your Life By Defining the Perfect Day

What would the perfect day be like for you!??

What would the perfect day be like for you? A lot of people are just bored with their life or in a slump because they have no idea what they are striving for. Most people know that it’s best to define your goals if you want to reach them. Why should this only apply to career goals?

Have you ever told yourself that your lifestyle is boring or that you’re having a SHITTY day? If so, ask yourself, “have I defined a GOOD lifestyle, or an AWESOME day?” You probably have not. If you really want to improve your life, start defining these things.

Ask yourself what the PERFECT day would be like. Then try to make that day happen.

It doesn’t have to be some materialistic crap like “I wanna spend $500 at the spa and then go on a shopping spree”. Be realistic. Defining this goal and visualizing it will help you know what to aim for and YOU WILL start to be happy.

For me this is the ideal day:

1. Go to LA Fitness with my lady

2. Grab a Protein Smoothie Outside in the Sun

3. Go For a Walk Around Curtis Hixon Park

4. Have Lunch at the Don Cesar and Sit by the Pool/Ocean

5. Go home, drink a cappuccino outside

6. Read a book by the fire with an espresso and my cat

7. Throw some chicken teriyaki on Really HOT grill for dinner

8. Have my favorite ice cream for dessert.

9. Relax and Watch Something Nice On TV

(obviouslly not me but you get the idea! lol)

10. Perfect Day Complete. Time to Sleep

Everything I mentioned can be done for about $60-$80 for 2 people. If you really wanted to, you could do something VERY similar for about $25.

This day brings the highest quality experience I can think of. You don’t need to buy all kinds of crazy shit to enjoy your life. These are just the “basics of life” that most people forget.

You should create YOUR “perfect day” so you know what to aim for.

Update After Experimenting With This

1. The more you define your day the better it will be. Identify the small details like: (I’ll wear my favorite sunglasses and favorite shirt, I’ll open the sunroof and vacuum out my car, I’ll play my favorite cd, and chew my favorite gum. It’s the small details that matter)

2. Weather can be a factor. Define a perfect day for good and bad weather. Just because it’s shitty outside doesn’t mean you have to accept a shitty day. Think of the best possible day that can be obtained with shitty weather.

Maybe it’s going to barns and noble, drinking a coffee and reading a book. Maybe it’s making that favorite recipe that takes FOREVER but is totally worth it. Things like that.

3. Small things can get in the way of your perfect day. Things like: (having dishes in your sink, or no clean laundry, not having groceries in stock, or having leaves in your driveway). Define all of these things. The day prior to your “perfect day” can be a preparation day. Do everything you can to identify these roadblocks and then do everything in your power to make sure that the perfect day goes down without a hitch.

Don’t have time? Pay someone $50 bucks to help you out for a few hours after work. Don’t make excuses.

Final Thoughts

Remember, this is a day you will probably remember forever. If it takes an entire day/week/month of planning and preparation to make it happen then get to it.

Remember those perfect summer days from your childhood? You’ll never forget em. This day will likely rival and trump those memories so do what you gotta do to make it happen! Life is to short so start enjoying it.

Have a great day,

-Chris
