I hate paper checks.

But sometimes I have to accept them from clients because we’re the ones getting paid. So if they insist, we accept.

I can’t be the only one having this problem, right?

It seems to me that an opportunity for payments startups (I’m looking at you Dwolla ;) is to grease the skids on the death of the paper check by providing an address to mail checks to and then process them for me and convert it into funds in their account.

Payments is a space with high switching costs. Creating a product to ease the transition seems like a great path to adoption.
