Taylor Swift needs to learn how to make “I” statements. “Look What You Made Me Do”, her newest video, comes out on Sunday. There is already speculation that she’s stolen from Beyonce’s aesthetic in “Lemonade” (based on the teaser-trailer).

Who says thinks like “look what you made me do”? I can’t even make it into an “I” statement because it’s so wrapped up in someone being wrong.

She could say, “I feel uncomfortable around you and so I do things I wish I didn’t” (hardly a catchy title) or “I take full responsibility for my actions but I want to vent”.

I get the whole “I’m a badass because I’ve been wronged and I deserve justice” thing, but is she still talking about Katy Perry stealing back-up dancers? If she’s talking about her sexual assault trial I would say she should take credit for standing up for herself and not make it about what the perpetrator started.

At this point, in this world, with all that’s taking place in America, do we really need a song about not having control of our actions? I would give it more leeway if it was a better song.
