good call then ! I’ve felt similarly at times in the past and was delighted to find out a few years back that there is a actually a term for it: sunk cost. It comes from economists and, as wikipedia puts is: “Traditional economics proposes that economic actors should not let sunk costs influence their decisions”

I had finally found a formal foundation to that ‘gut feeling’ that the work you’ve put into something isn’t enough justification to keep it alive !
