NOW IS THE TIME TO WRITE AND SHINE! Photo by Sean Cordes

Free to Good Poem:

One smartly used pencil:

Strong, stable, and sensitive but with a firm grip; like hugging a Golden Bear, riding a Palomino, or flying a Blackwing over the Ticonderoga.

I am well-experienced at documentation, yet still equally adept, at mixing it up — I love spinning a good yarn into a comfortable sweater.

In time I may wear down a bit, especially if things get crampy, slippery, and tense. But I will always nub you.

This in heart, hand, and mind, I am well-scripted, but can be kind of hard to handle at times, and don’t mean to poke.

Sometimes my tip breaks too….
But I am still sharp as a tack, and am really quite very good at erasing the things that have pass…

Poetry | Americana | Romance | Supernatural

Magic seeks the truth in what it knows

Love is the water of life, find it special; keep it close, deep, and well.

My grandfather dug two wells
One to heaven, the other to hell
Found them both with a forked stick
One makes you better, the other’s too slick

Where I come from the air is thick;
Water is wetter than a wicker switch.

And silver words fly uncurled tongues;
Like ladders brave unsteady rungs.

So dip your hands in tender love
Raise them high to the moon above
lip me on like satin gloves
Let pounding hearts
maneuver blood.

To her and morning sun

I SAW YOU ONCE WHEN WE WERE YOUNG, I SAW YOU AGAIN TODAY: by Sean Cordes, AI / NightCafe

I wish to never wake up
If I can’t see your eyes

The sun won’t rise
Much anyway without
Your smiling skies

But the thing that shivers
Me right through
Most coldly in the dark

Is the silent whole your
Loving words steal when
You leave my heart
