10 years

Oh the places you’ll go.

I’m a little late but if my memory serves me correctly, I graduated from CCHS May 19th, 2004. 10 years ago! Crazy. I can’t believe it’s already been ten years.

As luck would have it, I think I’m licking my lips in this picture….

Summer bonfire — 2004

I remember that summer was full of bon fires with friends.

Men’s league softball.

Poker night

And late nights hanging out and preparing for the next chapter in life.

Andy doing his smile where he tries to show you every single one of his teeth. haha.

I had no idea what the future really held for me but I was sure excited.

I remember leaving Gillette in early August in my little red eclipse that I love so dearly. I think I made it to Bartlesville in just over 11 hours. This is typically a 16 hour drive but my driving style at the time allowed for a little bit of “Time Travel”…

Oklahoma Wesleyan University, this was going to be the foundation of the next chapter in my life. I was going to play college soccer and get a degree.

The first person I met was Adam Nash.

Riding in a 16 passenger van on the way to a soccer game.

This was the beginning of a great friendship. AO.

Our road trip to LA and back.

Now almost 10 years later, one of my best friends to this day, is Adam.

My 21st birthday at Lake Tahoe.

No smiles here…

College was great.

I made a lot of great friends.

Played college soccer.

I probably lost the ball 3 seconds after this.

Ran track.

Don’t be fooled, this guy and I were duking it out for like 6th place I think…

And had a lot of good times in the process.

Wearing fake mustaches on our QT. Why? No one knows….

A few of my summers I spent at Camp Timberline in Colorado. This was hands down one of the greatest life experiences I could have ever ask for. I met some amazing people, lived in the mountains, and got to be a positive influence on a lot kids.

Camp T staff — 2006

I wore a wig a lot…

I don’t know…

And acted really weird…

Superhero party? I think…

I made a lot of good friends.

Mountain Adventure Crew

Especially with this dude! Rock out.

The morning we sun-rised Longs Peak.

And created a lot of good memories.

Four years college went by, just like that!

I graduated Summa Cum Awesome…

Weaver (Prof, mentor & friend) and I at Graduation

Now it was really time to grow up.

Adulthood.

It was time to get job and make my own way.

It was 2008–2009 and things were rough. So I moved in with my friend Jonathan.

We had parties! and a lot of good times. We got on the bus, more often then not.

Jon’s 30th Birthday Party

I got a job at the Buckle. That’s right, The BUCKLE. It wasn’t my dream job but it was a job and it payed the bills.

I stayed up late at night playing Tecmo Superbowl on volume level 1 because Jonathan got up at like 4:30 in the morning for work.

After about 6 months I moved to OKC and took a job with Funnel Design Group.

It was a great first (career) job.

During this time a lot happened.

Friends got married.

People had kids.

Made new friends.

Moved.

Moved again.

Had a lot of good times with old friends, reminiscing about the past.

I met a beautiful girl.

We hung out, a lot.

I fell in love.

I asked her to marry me, she said yes!

Rooftop proposal at sunset in downtown OKC (on top of the Packards building)

It took me 27 years, but I grew my first full beard.

First full beard — Age 27, success!

I got a new job.
I work at LifeChurch.tv now.

Guess what, I made some more new friends!

I’m getting to do some really cool stuff.

Well there you have it.

That’s a brief look back on the last 1o years of my life. I’m am thankful for all the blessings in my life, all the friends I’ve made along the way, all the great experiences I’ve had and all the memories I’ve made. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of it and made it so amazing. I love you all.

I’m excited for the next 10 years of my life.
