1.08: Assessing Innovation in China’s Digital Economy

1.08: The Fourteen Points: World War I and Woodrow Wilson’s Legacy 100 Years Later

CSIS hosted a panel on the anniversary of Wilson’s declaration of the Fourteen Points. Historians of the First World War discussed the Fourteen Points, World War I, and Wilson’s legacy in international politics today.

1.10: Freedom of the Press Under Attack

CSIS hosted a discussion about the state of freedom of the press and modern challenges facing the media. During this event, experts provided insights on how to ensure a free and independent media in the face of these challenges.

1.11: Social Inequality and the Russian Economy

CSIS hosted a discussion with Leonid Grigoryev, Professor in the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at the Higher School for Economics in Moscow, on how social and regional inequality are constraining Russia’s economic recovery.

CSIS hosted a discussion with Ernest J. Moniz, the co-chair and CEO of NTI and former U.S. Secretary of Energy. He provided remarks on the role of nuclear weapons in today’s increasingly dangerous global security environment, which was followed by a discussion with John Hamre, president and CEO of CSIS.
