The Materiality of the Motion Counter

As an addition to the post about the motion counter it is worth mentioning the materiality this particular one-pixel screen. Because the screenshot in that post reveals something about the materiality of this particular one-pixel screen: It is a one-pixel screen embedded within a high-resolution display.

If this is not a violation of the rules of the assignment, the materiality of this one-pixel screen (Ebsen 2013) will thus be defined by being a certain area of another bigger screen showing the same color. However, following this logic the screen concept might be extended to include individual pixels, which might be taking it too far. So where does the screen start and stop?
