Practice the Pause ๐Ÿ’–:

Mastering the habit of pausing regularly in our work life is an art.

Pausing helps creating the space between thought and thinker and gives the much needed time to create space between our thoughts and emotions, so we could respond to all situations constructively than reacting.

Always Pause before making any major decision.Always Pause before sending an email.Always Pause before Making an important decision.

Practicing the act of pausing at the important parts of speech is a very important skill I sharpened during My leadership journey.

Over the last few years I have had the opportunity to meet with and interact with many good leaders in my speciality, one important observation I could find common in all of them was that they were all very good at pausing at appropriate parts of their speech.

I have always been a fast speaker, especially at times of stress I used to have a tendency to give lot of informations in one go,thatโ€™s something I have observed and gradually crafting to punctuate my speech with appropriate pauses.

Practicing the pause help us to listen and understand others more and also breaking our speech appropriately gives us time to think and respond rather than react to other peopleโ€™s questions.
