Hey! It’s me!

Just like my attention span, I like to keep things short: Band, love it. Music, love it. Video games, love it (or them, whatever). School, it’s a love/hate relationship. Blogs, have never seen any interest in them. But here I am, I’ve always been into trying new things. So here I am, delving further into the rabbit hole that is the internet. We’ll start off simple, with a little bit about myself.

I grew up in the Rubber City of Ohio — Akron. And although it is where “The Black Keys” are from, it’s a long shot from being the best place on earth. Due to recent economic events, most of my past neighbors have moved on to better places (hopefully), which has caused a surge of lower income families to take their place and become a thorn in the sides of the veterans. I can tell you from experience: most of these people are not the nicest. Luckily, I’ve grown up around positive influences so I still haven’t been sent to jail yet, have my parents taken away from me, or been in any drug-related activity. So I guess I’ve been raised the right way. Bob Ross, a Crayola Plug-And-Play system, and Amish television (that’s what we called the 11 channels we got way-back-when) is what I grew up on.

I’ve never been a big sports person, but I still enjoy the occasional Football or Ultimate Frisbee in a thunderstorm game. Band and video games have pretty much shaped me as a person — besides my family, of course — and are my two favorite things to indulge in with my spare time. Something about rejecting reality and placing yourself in another is joyful and struck curiosity into me while I was a wee little lad. Drumming is just something I’ve always been into: I was a pots-and-pans kind of kid. Gotta love some of that demon slayin’ and snare playin’!

I guess technology is cool…considering I’m typing on an ASUS ROG G751 (give that a google if you’re interested), own a Galaxy S6, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and a Nintendo Wii (when they were still a thing), have indulged in the majesty that is the Vive (a virtual reality headset (a thing you put over your face to stare down a smaller monitor that actually allows controllers to look around using their head)), and drive a car with a touchscreen (but still has manual lights, Volkswagen we need to have a talk) — so yeah, I guess I’m a little on the technology savvy side.
