Very strong on the diagnosis, I have some alternative views on the prognosis. Like early TV and magazines, the climb to quality was long and tortured. We didn’t start with Walter Cronkite or Vanity Fair in the shape they became. Digital will climb its way back from the upper bleacher seats of quality, but it will be years not months before we can say we have a media sector that stands up to our previous best.
