Holding an event can be a great way to promote your business, brand, product or service. Get this right and this can open doors of you, but failure to produce and you can land yourself with group of unimpressed attendees. To ensure you are on the right path, here are four ways you can get your event noticed — in a good way!

1 Create a planned timeline

The success of any planning is always down to the effectiveness of your planning. Depending on how big, or the scope of your event, you want to create a plan several months in advance. This plan should include everything about how you aim to promote and when you plan to carry out these tasks. Not only will this ensure you are on target to achieving your goals, but it will allow you to tackle and resolve any potential issues you may come across on the way.

2 Implement an Effective Marketing Strategy

Marketing is a massive part of any event. There are millions of active users on social platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. With this in mind, be sure that you are hitting as many of these as possible to get your event message out there. To give your event the best possible chance of success, create a brainstorm of other ways you can promote your brand.

This could include print promotion, endorsements, press and media contacts or simply word of mouth. Either way, creating a strategy will aid the growth and popularity of your event.

3 Your Network is Everything

Having the right people at your event is equally as important as having people actually there. A great way to ensure that you have the right crowd at your event is through networking. Personally interact and build connections with “Key Influencers” you would like to be at your event. This will open a sea of possible opportunities for you but it should widen the audience you have at your event, especially if you can get them to promote it. After all, people always want to always be in the room with the “right” kinds of people.

4 Have a Unique Selling Point

Events have been done for many years. However in order to get yours noticed, you must have a Unique Selling Point (USP). Ask yourself what you could do or have at your event that nobody is doing, or what you would like to see at an event similar to the one your planning.

Remember, having a USP does not necessarily have to be a costly expense; it can be a cheap or even free. Just make sure its one that helps you stand out from the crowd and promotes positive conversation.
