Testing integration of Curiosio with Google Maps.

With Curiosio it’s possible to search for road trip from any location to any location [within country], any number of days & any budget. In one click.

For example, planning a nine day road trip for four, in New Zealand, starting and finishing in Auckland, under $10,000 (amount doesn’t contain flights cost). Full day sightseeing, good accommodations, and good meal at least twice per day.

Hit the button. Get the trip. In this case days are scarce. $4700 for four is enough for nine days.

Search result. Proposed trip and alternatives.

Usually alternative trips proposed, selected one is red, other options are light grey. Itinerary for selected trip is listed on the left, by days.
The route could be exported in two clicks. First, you click red hamburger menu. Second, you click “Export to Google Maps”.

Route exported to Google Maps

Make sure you are logged into Google Maps. It will enable cool features, such as “Show imagery” related to your route, Street View, “Drag to change route”, detailed turn-by-turn view, options for tolls and measurement units, and “Send directions to your phone”. Find the send icon & label on the left, just below the blue area with the route list. Click it.

Send links to click

When you click on “Send directions to your phone”, you should get a popup in the middle of the screen. You should see your connected devices there. Your phone name (or multiple phone names) must be listed, together with your email address. If everything OK, then you should get push notification on your phone by clicking your phone name-link there.

Notifications from Google Maps must be enabled on your phone: Sent from desktop maps.

Receiving the notification directly to Google Maps will allow to open the route in one click. You could save the route via sharing it to your favorite tools, and then re-open when it’s time.

It’s possible to send the route directly to the car. Details here.

Curiosio give you trip plan, what to visit and how, to stay within your days and your budget, according to your preferences and anchor decisions who goes, inbound/outbound airports, curiosity, comfort.
