Once we make our way past the sophistry, your insistence on equating the financial product you signed for to the service you paid for with it is what makes your position ridiculous.
Whether it’s a house, a car, or an education, dissatisfaction with your purchase does not absolve you from the duty, legal and moral, from fulfilling the completely separate obligation you entered into voluntarily to make that purchase.
I would have been much more forgiving had you had the courage to come out directly and say, “I will not pay because not doing so is in my economic interest, and there is a riskless way for me to do so.” All this mealy-mouthed justification is crass.
