Aesthet Individual Activity #4
National Museum- Art Gallery

(Dramahan sa Museum😂)
Art is a tool to express our unspoken words. It is also a manifestation of our history, culture and values. Here, art has no standard format that’s why it is unique. The time that I enjoyed viewing some valuable artworks was at the National Museum Art gallery just recently. Every time I go to museums, national or city, it feels like a time machine which travel back to the past, to a short glimpse of history and to commemorate the National Artist. It’s a great opportunity for us to witness, to remember and to recognize the events that marks our history, culture and arts. The museum was an eye opener to be proud of our art, history, culture and nationalism. The museum was filled with sketches, paintings, and sculpture done in different medium which done by famous Filipino Artist. The place is fascinating and full of feeling. It is also quiet in which you can find your peace of mind while looking at the artworks.
Paintings were very amazing. It’s good that you have an idea on the different artist and their works because when I saw their original works, there is the aesthetic feeling seeing it. You can see every detailed of the artwork and you will think that “ahh this how the original artwork looks like”. The works of Fernando Amorsolo, Juan Luna,Vicente Manansala are one of my most admired paintings. While looking at the artworks there were paintings that captured my heart and had a big impact on me. Some of them are :

Spoliarium
Juan Luna
Oil in canvas
This artwork is one of my favorite. The painting was wide and tall. As you enter the museum the first artwork you will see is this big painting. This painting reflects the sufferings of Filipino under the Spaniards rule. The artwork also showed a heavy emotion. This kind of artwork is only a short glimpse of our history.

Bayanihan
Vicente Manansala
Oil in Juite
I admire this painting because of the good color blending and it is relaxing to the eye. The color gives a peace ambiance. The artwork shows the Filipino values that we’re trying to preserved. It also conveyed how simple people are in the past and how they social interact.

I believe in God
Vicente Manansala
Oil on Masonite
This artwork had a great impact to me, not just because of the title but on how it was represented. In the artwork there is a family working and praying together. It is great representation that no matter what state their life is they still have faith in God. It’s a great representation that God is with us no matter what happen.

Arko ng pagkakaisa para sa kalayaan
Edgar Fernandez
Oil on canvas
I consider this painting as one of the painting that will touch your heart. It represents our brave soldiers who fought for the country’s freedom. In the painting, you can observe that Aquinos are present followed by simple people. It only means that we are united with our mission and that is our country’s freedom. It is a great representation of our nationalism.

Man and Industry
Vicente Manansala
Tempera, watercolor and collage on paper
This artwork is a quite different from the other paintings. It is more focused on the opening of classical perspective. It conveyed the technical advances in human life.

Green Earth
Federico Alcuaz
Pressed dyed wool
The artwork wants to convey a deep meaning about the real state of our earth today. The dark colors are representation of the earth getting polluted. This painting is considered abstract. There is a deeper meaning behind the artwork that we can’t predict right away. With the combination of lines and colors there is face trying to show.

Congratulations to the Liberal Democrats
Pablo Santos
Oil on canvas
This artwork conveys a great meaning about winning a war. It is Filipinos fighting for freedom. It is a representation of a sweet victory in every struggle.

Woman in Distress
Benedicto Cabrera
Acrylic on canvas
I like this painting so much. This represents my feels for college every Midterm and Final exams. Distressing!!!
It’s always a great pleasure to visit this kind of place. It only shows the richness of our history and the creativeness of Filipinos. This kind of place is worth the time and should be proud of every Filipinos.
