The Indoor Theme Park: Timezone

Timezone is the largest indoor theme park in Australia. It’s also a theme park you can visit even when it’s raining outside. Plus, it’s open until midnight, every day of the week. The park is 5,000 square metres and full of rides, lights and games. For example, you could play 4D arcade games, laser skirmish, dodgem cars, bowling, mini-golf, kiddie rides and so much more. Nature and More at Broadwater Parklands

Broadwater Parklands are 3 kilometres of parklands located on the Broadwater side of Marine Parade. At the parklands, you’ll find water features that are perfect for the kids. The Broadwater Rockpools are surrounded by shallow pools, shooting jets, fountains, spouts and waterfalls. However, the parklands have so much more to offer, including the Washington Waters Park. It features a giant jumping pillow, liberty swing for the kids, a bike education track, monorail peddle bikes and flying fox. You can also visit one of these attractions at the Broadwater Parklands or take the family for a picnic at Green Lawn, go fishing, visit a café on the 100 metre pier or even watch a movie under the stars.

Native Wildlife at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the oldest and most beloved attraction on the Gold Coast — for the kids and the adults. It’s famous for its Free Flight Bird, Lorikeet Feeds, animal hospital and more. At the sanctuary, you’ll see many native wildlife, including crocodiles, emus, wombats, dingoes, koalas and kangaroos. Plus, you’ll be able to engage with these animals. For example, you could take a photo with the kangaroos and koalas, feed the Saltwater Crocodiles or walk with the dingoes.

However, the sanctuary has much more than just animal attractions. It also offers the Treetop Challenge, Segway Safaris, cultural and nature shows, fun educational programs for the kids and the famous Sanctuary Markets. It’s one of the most unique spots and most fun Gold Coast activities for kids.

Putt Putt at King Tutt’s Putt Putt

There are many putt putt venues on the Gold Coast, but most famously, King Tutt’s Putt Putt in Surfers Paradise. This mini-golf venue offers 18 holes with history-themed courses, including an Egyptian Course and the famous Jurassic Park Course. There’s even an arcade for the kids. You can spend the day here or at any other course on the Gold Coast, including Putt Putt at Mermaid Beach.
