Steps
1. Register a user on ref: Coinbase non-ref:Coinbase

Recieve $10 USD worth of bitcoin when signing up with referral link.

2. Undergo the KYC (Know-your-client) process and add your credit card. Note: they do this for security purposes and is relatively quick.
3. Buy X amount of Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH) that you’re willing to invest. Note: there is a credit limit which you can’t go over weekly. Ethereum is cheaper in transactions and faster than Bitcoin (BTC) so its not likely to get stuck and more likely for the transaction to go through.

Edit: Binance is now limting the number of users that can sign up per day. If you can’t sign up just use another exchange — try https://www.kucoin.com/#/?r=1tdxM, https://next.exchange/?ref=YzExMzUyNDczNw (working progress) and/or https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Register?referrer=pankaj66.

4. Register an account at ref:Binance non-ref:Binance or another exhange which supports your cryptocurrency (I find binance works well).

A trusted cryptocurrency exchange with a wide variety of coins including XRP.

5. After the registration go to funds -> deposits withdrawals -> Ethereum -> deposit. Copy the BTC or ETH deposit address (address of the one you bought) from Binance and go over to Coinbase and press send/recieve ->send and then paste your deposit address into the respective address send section. Note: there is a small fee to do the transaction so you can’t send all of it.
6. Please confirm 5 times if it’s the same address and its the respective address (i.e BTC -> BTC address) from binance. Then wait for BTC or your ETH to deposit into account, you can check the status of the transaction here. After 30 confirmations, you will recieve your ETH. BTC will take a while be patient.
7. When the crypto is in your wallet on Binance, go to exchange -> basic on the website.
8. Click on the BTC or ETH Tab and search the cryptocurrency you want to buy!
9. Set a buy order at the price you want to buy 1 of your cryptocurrency for X amount of BTC or ETH and then the amount you want to buy.
10. When it hits that price, the first orders placed for it will be filled and then the others.
