Feminists have been asking for and providing child are at conferences since the 1960's. This is now standard practice at all forms of social change events.
BlohHer, for example, has provided child care space AND welcomed nursing mothers from its inception — because BlogHer founders are feminists and proactively attend to the wide range of human needs their female — and male — attendees have.
Should TEDWomen be applauded for responding — belatedly- to one mothers concern? No. They should be embarrassed that this is what it took for them to address such a basic human need.
Further demonstration that TED and TEDWomen fail to understand how to support women, families, and social change.
