I am now motivated to invest in my education.
Because I do not want to bag groceries for life.
This is not my ideal occupation at all. In fact, it’s quite a tedious one.
It’s great as a job for now because I can’t sit still for very long and I have a limited attention span, but I can’t imagine doing this long-term.
And my feet certainly can’t imagine standing like this for hours on end without rest.
People make my job better though, by helping me with the names and codes of things. I’m not in this alone. My coworkers are really sweet and nice to work with.
I learned today that H Mart uses reusable, recyclable plastic bags that can be used up to 125 times. They’re made of a nontoxic material, too, and can be washed with soap and water.
I memorized that as part of my spiel, as well as asking people if they had a membership card.
I’m slowly remembering more and more codes now, but it’s still a pretty painful, difficult job for me.
I guess there’s just a learning curve for the different codes they’ve got associated with different kinds of produce.
I’m fatigued beyond belief and I’ve got to get up at 4:30 AM tomorrow to start my job at Bojangles.
RIP my feet/life/everything.
I’m just gonna sit here until I feel better. D;
