Day 26

I was a sleeping potato for most of the morning, and I’ll be a couch potato for the rest of the day.

I called Bojangles to see if I had to work on Memorial Day tomorrow. The answer was “yes.”

I kinda wimped out on discussing my hours with my manager. He asked me if I could work more, and I reluctantly told him I could, despite wanting to quit.

I guess I’ll give it one more week. I’ll try again for a little bit and see if things go smoother as time goes on.

Part of me doesn’t want to give up and part of me knows how much I don’t like working in the fast food industry.

But it’s an experience to learn from and a challenge for me.

Let’s just hope things go alright tomorrow and I’m not hating my life halfway through my shift.

For now, I’ll keep reading Daniel Pink’s To Sell is Human and Sam Kean’s The Disappearing Spoon.

Until next time!
