A Christmas Gift Is Like Sex: It’s Better When It’s Free.
I was listening to the “Love Love Love” lyrics from Lenny Kravitz and I realized that I feel sad about gifts most people offer at the end of each year.

It does not feel right for several reasons: it seems to be forced by social pressure on a specific schedule; it relates to religious origins which I’m not sensible to nor want to promote at the moment; it does not feel right as well because I already have everything I need and can afford everything I want; it’s not good for my friends and family wallet; it’s not good for the planet nor nature in general.
The best gift a true friend or relative can offer is for sure, his or her time, my place is open anytime for you and I’m available to visit you whenever and wherever you prefer; but it has proven to be too much to ask.
Then, my view of the second perfect gift is to share something that changed a friend or relative life, this can be: a book, a movie, a song, a quote, a hack, a piece of software, a technique, a sport, a place, whatever, wherever. It’s probably very cheap or even free: just write its name on a gift card. I won’t ask for more to be happy.
This year, please share with me something that YOU personally like because I want to know more about you.
Thanks.
