Vitamins for the Mind 29
Learn,to live...
(I stole this from Baze University Abuja)
“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
― Martin Luther King, Jr.
It might seem obvious... but ignorance and stupidity are life denying and dangerous...
They can kill you...
At the very least, they severely impact your success and happiness...
Some of the dangers of ignorance are:
You can’t prepare..
You can’t see what’s coming..
It limits your choices and power...
Amplifies consequences..
Leads to hero worship...
You live for others, always craving for validation from others...
You can't run your race...
Whilst most people would agree with this, nevertheless, the majority of people are largely ignorant of the most important things and processes in their life...
They don’t know how their mind, brain and body works...
They don’t know how they unconsciously generate their own reality and happiness...
They don't know how others use emotions to manipulate and shape their thoughts..
They don’t know the enemies to their success and happiness...
They don't know when they are classically conditioned to think and behave in a certain way...
They can’t even articulate their values and core beliefs, let alone improve and refine them for greater success in their life...
They are like zombies...
They just follow the crowd...
The man who follows a crowd will never be followed by a crowd-RS Donnell
Knowledge and choice provide power and control...
Knowledge is a powerful acquisition in life which, when given to someone, does not decrease...
It is knowledge that has equipped man with the limitless power with which man dominates over all beings who are physically much stronger than him...
By instilling in your unconscious mind a desire for learning, and a passionate repulsion of ignorance and 'follow-follow', you can make an incredible and enhancing difference to your life...
We should instill in our children early the love and quest for knowledge...
Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation- Walter Cronkite
Every human being has a thrust for knowledge...
Those who have knowledge are capable of commanding others and ruling the world...
But the power that comes from knowledge should be used for the progress of mankind and not for manipulation..
...Are those who know equal to those who do not know?"
Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding...
May The Almighty makes us among those who learn to live and among those whose learning will be beneficial here and hereafter...
