THE AUDACITY TO BE YOU

Like a swimmer, the tip of her toes test the waters..woah! Its deep!
Can I really swim across?
I'll drown like a log deep
Experts have tried and failed, who am I?
I'm no different, I'm nothing. I'm shy
But I can see my goal just across the river
Like to confirm a voice shouts from behind "You will fail, don't
She shivers
The person had also tried and failed
Yeah, there was no ship no sail
Every step away is her umbilical cord stretched from across the river

She hears her dreams calling out, I’m worth the risk
Even if life spins you like a whisk
Dare to be you
Dare to be true
Dare to be first

Lately, I’ve been in this place, doubting whether I deserve to do differently and cursing myself for always thinking differently.

Now I’m learning that I can be the first to do something.

That I can be different and that is okay.

So if you’ve been doubting whether you should try out a strange path?

Go for it
