It was a week after Ryan, my fiancé, passed away that I was invited to attend an award ceremony to be honored for the work I do as an entrepreneur. I did not want to attend but strangely all I kept thinking was “Ryan would be disappointed if I didn’t go.” He was after all my biggest champion. He was always there to make sure I remembered how hard I had worked and how I needed to celebrate each moment.
