Hope all the great EOS community members are having a great fall. If you haven’t already checked out our HallowEOS pumpkin carving contest there’s still time to submit an entry. Last week we held a steady at position number 28. Our awesome hardware is still anxious to make blocks again, so we will keep pushing to get back up into the top 21. Here’s what happened this past week in the Cypherglass infrastructure world…

  1. We wrote a script to check to see if chain state DB on disk is getting as big as the config.ini setting. This lets us know it’s time to fix things before we have a serious problem.
  2. We deployed the new script on all four of our proxy nodes.
  3. We applied security patches to twelve out of sixteen server. One node had a problem so we’ve stopped for now and will resume one we’ve got the issue worked out.
  4. Resolved a low disk space situation on one of our prod full nodes. Our alerting works!
  5. Our public node in the MSP datacenter had NodeOS crash when trying to stop it for security patches. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough disk space to replay. So we had to grow the disk there to get it recovered. Once that was done we had to rebuild the node and restore via backup.
  6. We are still working on getting some new sections up on the cypherglass.com website, and should have them finished in the next week.
  7. We installed 1.4.1 on a test node and on a public node. So far so good. You can find out details on the version.

Have a great Halloween week and be sure to refresh your BP votes this week.
