Last week, we hosted our first-ever community AMA for Cysic, and we were thrilled to see over 700 participants join us. Thank you all for your overwhelming support!

🔥 Project Advantages
1️⃣ Question: What proof systems does Cysic support?
Cysic’s hardware acceleration covers a wide range, supporting mainstream proof systems like groth16, halo2, plonky2, and RapidSnark, with more to come in the next months.
2️⃣ Question: How fast is the theoretical payback period for Cysic Depin?
The payback period is relatively short compared with Bitcoin mining machine. The hardware can also potentially be used to run VDFs for Ethereum validators.
3️⃣ Question: Will the chips quickly become outdated?
No. The chip’s underlying modules are generic, and new proof systems can be supported by upgrading the firmware layer as long as the core computation of the new proof system is compatible with the chip design.
4️⃣ Question: How does Cysic ensure accuracy and prevent cheating?
Cysic’s zk proof verification will immediately detect invalid proofs, and multiple validators will be pseudo-randomly selected to minimize cheating. The team’s strong network security background addresses other security concerns.
5️⃣ Question: How will the testnet coordinate GPUs with varying performance?
A local monitoring program will analyze the hardware’s operation and network status. In the beginning of test, a centralized scheduler will assign tasks to provers based on their uptime and contribution. A decentralized approach will be adopted once the testnet stabilizes.

The phase I of testnet is by invitation only.
2️⃣ Question: What are the hardware requirements for provers and validators?
Provers need NVIDIA 3070 GPU cards or above, while validators only need smartphones or laptops.

Early July.
4️⃣ Question: Will there be rewards for testnet participants?
Yes, participants will earn points that can be swapped for tokens from Cysic’s partner ZK projects. The points can be converted to Cysic token after Cysic TGE.

A computing power competition might be introduced.
6️⃣ Question: Can multiple GPUs participate in the same task?
Yes, multiple GPU servers will be selected for the same task to ensure the stable and fast service for our ZK customers.
