Written August Series — Day 9: Mellifluous

He wrote 11 underscores on the paper.

“Your clue: muddy koala.”

I stared at him blankly.

“Muddy koala!” His eyes blinked in excitement, a smile was more than ready to break out from his face.

I stared at him still. “What?”

“Okay. It’s somewhere near us.” He was bubbling even with more excitement.

“Pass.” I said.

“Kuala Lumpur!” He broke out in laughter. I looked at him for a while before laughing as well.

“Screw you,” I spat while still full of laughter.

He was still laughing, now a wiggly human on the floor, making out what I would say one of my favorite sound to hear. He then stood up and reached out to me.

“I love you?” He offered, wrapping his big hands on my cheeks and smiled sweetly.

I snickered. “Love you too.”
