Dominic Acosta Mini-Essay
Hello, my name is Dominic Acosta, I am 18 years old and ready to move out of the eternal flame we call Florida. I am currently a freshman at Florida SouthWestern State College trying to get my associates in art to later transfer to the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy. I am a registered drug dealer for the state of Florida. At the moment I sell drugs on the corner of Lee Blvd and state road 82 at Publix Pharmacy. I have lived in Florida all of my life and have come to appreciate what seasons are in other states. My goal is to finish pharmacy school and move someplace where misquotes do not try to kill you.
I have worked for three different jobs. I was a shift leader at Menchies frozen yogurt, a groceries stocker at Publix, then afterward switched to pharmacy technician at Publix. I have always had a passion, and once I started working in the pharmacy, I knew that was the career for me. Ever since my first job at Menchies I realized the only way to make it in life is to be the very best at whatever you do. I worked hard and listened which honed my skills to get my other jobs. These jobs relate to my goal of becoming a pharmacist by gaining knowledge from the pharmacy about different diseases and the treatments used for them and my other employers help me achieve the skills I need to help maintain and stay focused on whatever tasks I need to accomplish.
In the next five years, I plan to finish my prerequisites for pharmacy school and almost be done with my schooling. I will graduate with my doctorate in phmaracy and be on my way to getting a job as a retail pharmacist so I may help as many people as I can. This article explains the education, job duties, salary, and the future of retail pharmacists.
