Moloch’s Sacrifice was truth

Do you know how the world perceives Mormons?

Few examples from Wikipedia…

They have a unique view of cosmology, and believe that all people are spirit-children of God.

Church leaders also encourage members to use the church’s full name to emphasize its focus on Jesus Christ

The word “Mormon” is often associated with polygamy (or plural marriage), which was a distinguishing practice of many early Mormons; however it was renounced by the LDS Church in 1890 and discontinued over the next 15 years.

Today, only Mormons that have broken with the LDS Church practice polygamy.

Do you think this is important? Why or why not?

“Only God’s chosen Prophet can receive revelations for the whole world.”

Apostasy: When individuals, the church, or the entire nations forsake or abandon the gospel of Jesus Christ. Apostasy results in division, confusion, and loss of priesthood authority, or the right to act in the name of God.

Do you agree with this definition of Apostasy?

How would you define Apostasy in your own words?

Have you ever heard of another definition?

Is there a definition that can be given to everyone and not have “worldly” perceptions attached to it?

Can it be defined in a manner that will be a form of truth?

According to Websters Dictionary:

Apostasy: abandonment of a previous loyalty

Whether they were loyal to their jobs, hobbies, sports, money or church; it doesn’t make the difference.

They’ve abandoned their loyalty to serving the truth, themselves, their families or strangers.

Now this is an understanding that can be taught as truth… it doesn’t mention a “church,” “religion,” or “deity” or any kind.

Why is that important?

This mean’s that the Mormon Church is in a state of Apostasy.

The entire nation of humanity is.

“Because the Church was no longer led by priesthood authority, error crept into Church teachings. Good people and much truth remained, but the gospel as established by Jesus Christ was lost. This period is called the Great Apostasy.”

Not only the leaders but also the followers are in a state of Apostasy.

I don’t believe that the people have abandoned their loyalty but are taught wrong.

They shouldn’t be teaching people to “focus” on Jesus Christ. The ‘teachings’ should be the origin of focus.

Though, through legal authority and legislation there must always be a “name” attached to the franchise.

The ‘church’ is no longer a realm of spirituality but a building, book, idol, symbol, or rituals on a stage for the sleeping audience.

The true church has becomes nothing more then bodies lining up for a half-truth buffet.

Why do these zombies march back into the halls every week? Love

The half-truths are still true; half of the time. Ask them and they’ll say, “I’ll show you. Read this and you decide if it’s true.”

Why is baptism significant? Why?

According to the pamphlet “The Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ”:

Baptism: An essential step in receiving forgiveness of sins. Through baptism and confirmation by priesthood authority, we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Baptism is by immersion, meaning that the person being baptized is briefly submerged in water. Baptism shows our willingness to follow Christ’s example and to make covenants with God.

Baptism was once an act of faith taken in action.

Now the people have abandoned their loyalty to what ever it is they have put their faith in. A sports team, their jobs, favorite philosophy, service organization or entertainment program.

“Through baptism and confirmation by priesthood authority, we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”

An act of faith taken in action is the true baptism of the spirit.
