The only social media I now have is Medium — and frankly it’s just a creative outlet if you will.

I understand what you’re saying. Yet, you’re coming from much too rational, robotic approach. Let your creativity flow; don’t hamper your true feelings — i.e. you refer to the Buddhist statement (appeal to authority) rather than making it your own.

And anytime one starts off bashing social media using “lament” and “harp” and belittling them with “somehow these pinnacles…”, you’re preaching to the choir. Also, you yourself use social media. *Insert ironic statement here about OP’s intention.”

Reflect. Write. Revise.

Not necessarily in that order.

If you aren’t working to improve you’re only getting worse :)
