I think I’d be more concerned if you weren’t skeptical (and I will hold you to holding me accountable). I said this to another person who shared a similar view as yours: I’ve been a writer and reader for a year before I joined the team, so I know firsthand a lot of the issues and wishes folks have on the platform, but I don’t want my own biases and personal experiences to color recommendations and plans that should have data behind them in addition to that qualitative information you and I and a lot of others already hold in our heads.

Me existing doesn’t change our limitations of actually being able to produce stuff and change/add to the platform itself, but you will now have a dedicated group focused on your thoughts, feelings, hopes, and frustrations — and that group will be working in conjunction with everyone else on the Medium team who is building the product and supporting you in other important (although perhaps less directly obvious) ways.

I also want to say I really like that you put your Myers-Briggs classification in your profile. What does it say about me that I want to share mine but can never, for the life of me, remember what I am?
