Jeffery Dampier was a regular man from Chicago who came upon the luck of his life. In 1996, he won $20 million from a lottery ticket. After a divorce and division of his winnings, Dampier found love again and moved down to the east coast of sunny Florida.

There in Florida, Jeffery had a dream. He wanted to create a business of his own. Uniquely it was a popcorn business, and since he had the money, he invested. But he didn’t stop there.

He agreed to help out his wife, Crystal, and two sisters, moved them to Florida, cared for them financially, and bought them nice things. This would seem nice if his “kindness” weren’t used for weakness.

On July 26th, 2005, after receiving a call from his sister-in-law, Victoria, Dampier headed to the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Nathaniel. But when he arrived at the apartment, he wasn’t there to meet with Victoria to help her, but there was a gun pointed at the back of his head.
