I’ve never been in love before, but I can say for certain that I would never resort to such a volatile relationship where we both enjoy the thrills of killing people for sexual gratification. I’d rather be alone if that is others’ definition of love, but I digress.
Today we’re going to be talking about Catherine Wood and Gwendolyn Graham. These women were employed at the Alpine Manor nursing home in Michigan and met in 1986. The two quickly became lovers and engaged in a sexual, volatile love affair.
While working in the nursing home, the two engaged in murdering five elderly patients by smothering them. Their victims ranged from ages 65 to 97 and suffered from Alzheimer’s. After which, they would engage in sexual activities to release their adrenaline. This was their form of connection that just as quickly ended.
Their union ended, and an ex-husband of Catherine’s informed the police of her involvement with the murders in 1988. This led the police to arrest her, and she gave “her side” of the events, placing all the blame on Gwendolyn. She claimed that Gwendolyn killed the patients while she served as the lookout.
