Surveying my next laptop options
Boris Mann

Just to say I’ve got a 2013 Chromebook Pixel and this year it’s become my main work machine. I gave my wife my maxed-out-spec 2014 MacBook Pro. The screen and performance of the Pixel is outstanding and it was ~£300 on eBay.

Google Slides has replaced Keynote for me, meaning the only thing I use my (2011 i7) Mac Mini Server for these days is podcast recording and editing. I’ve got a spare Lenovo ThinkPad running Linux, but it hasn’t had much of a look-in recently!

In general, I think people massively overestimate the processing power they need, and massively underestimate what you can get done in the browser.
