At The Sky

I never cared much for school,

I figured i’d have to be a fool,

To take another’s thoughts and make them mine,

To let another’s hands shape my mind.

I always looked up at the sky,

For if there was a reason why,

That is where i’d find it.

But to those who chose a different path,

That’s exactly what I was — different.

Good,

For I don’t want to be like her,

The pretty girl who always looks around,

But never looks up at the sky.
