The life of Deanna Al Dakka, that kind of shy girl.

Part 3: My Life in 100 Words

Little girl from a big, loud family, grown accustom to white noise. Speaking in graphite and shouts, rambling until all the lights are shut.

Midnight snacks and lost bookmarks; frayed headphones, lead-less pencils and crumbled paper scattered all over. Pens and pencils and notebooks- I couldn’t have enough.

My love for cliffhangers and soft blankets and candles. The color orange and pasta and warm cups of tea. Smiles, laughs and hugs.Grinning and standing tall when fear comes.

Talk my way out of trouble when it comes sauntering around. My chin up, eyes narrowed, and heart pounding with compassion, hope.

Hello.

What I Worry About

Part 3 : Music That Motivates Me

Sometimes, it’s hard for me to see past a test I failed or an audition I’ve bombed. At that moment, it just seems like there’s nothing to do about it or about anything, and that I’m completely helpless. That’s the thing though- you’re never “completely helpless”, or even a general “helpless”.

The song, “Carry On” by Fun, is anthem to the saying “there’s never nothing you can do”. Wether it’s explain yourself to a person or retake a test, there’s something to do in any situation, and maybe it’s just taking a breath, and facing the unknown one step at a time.

Part 4: Snapshot of a Moment 9:00 p.m. on a Tuesday Night, august 22, 2017.

Me writing a story in my living room, and talking to my sister.

Part Five: My Video

I love just “hanging” around outdoors with my friends. Not going to lie, I was pretty impressed that I actually could do that.

I love just “hanging” around outside. Gotta say, I was pretty impressed I could actually do that.

Tyler Joseph is the lead singer of a band called Twenty One Pilots. He took his emotions that confused him and wrote it down, then transferred it to music. His lyrics are relatable and real, and I can understand exactly what he’s describing with the beat and words.

Part Seven: A Quote to Live By

“Notice things,”- Ally Carter from I’d Tell You I love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You.
