Yes, I completely affirm the distinction between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The point I was making is that Jesus is God. My understanding from dozens of texts in the New Testament like “I and the Father are one” “If you have seen me you have seen the Father”, etc., is there is no way to separate any of these persons from the Godhead. The Spirit is God, the Father is God, and the Son is God. There is only one God, He being the object of the Shema, but He is a community of persons distinct from each other. e.g.“Let us make man in our image”. And thus we experience tripartite man as body, soul, and spirit. A very important aspect of this for me is that God has, in the person of Jesus, died for our sins. This profoundly informs my understanding of the roles of Father and Spirit in the death and resurrection of Jesus and the valuation of that sacrifice. No man has seen the Father at any time, which leaves us with the understanding that Jesus then remains, Himself being the express image of the Father, He who was actually encountered by Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, etc. Jesus is “I am”. He is Yahweh. Your points concerning a hierarchy in the Godhead are absolutely valid. This is a voluntary and eager submission by the Son to the will of the Father, to be His servant and ours in a spectacularly inverted kingdom for the visible glory of the invisible Father. To be humble and obedient even to the death on the cross though equal with the Father. Philippians 2:5–7

For so-called second temple Jews, this was unthinkable, hence the accusations of blasphemy as Jesus repeatedly said and did what only God could. But notice the ultimate realization of Thomas recorded in John 20:28. I think Thomas’ monotheism was still intact when he uttered these words.
