I didn’t understand where the actual cash would come from to pay for the UBI. Today, mechanically, the cash to fund welfare, for example, is deducted from payroll checks and sent to the federal government. Your article appeared to connect the loss in value of an iPhone, for example, to UBI. However, I didn’t see how the $450 loss in value, in your example, made its way to the federal government.
