In fact, incoming administrations routinely communicate with foreign governments prior to taking office. And, since Trump had already made clear that he wanted a better relationship with Russia, asking the Russians to hold off on responding to the Obama sanctions was not at all improper.

Let’s be clear what is going on here: The previous administration had the intelligence agencies spying on the incoming administration. Then officials of the intelligence shopped around stories about Trump aides to the two major newspapers, both of which are virtually CIA outlets. If the stories that the officials floated are true, they have committed several felonies re handling of classified material.

It is also a case of the intelligence community acting directly to undermine or overthrow the elected President. That should send chills down your spine but the Dems seem to be fine with it.
