It is extremely dificult to change this scheme while journals ( whose mission is to make profit) are in such position of power, and while scientists are subordinated to the practices imposed by these companies. On the other hand, most scientist are incompetent in statistical analysis/modeling. That will implicate a re-focus of education and research culture to educate competent scientits instead of dogmatic p-values calculators.
