I disagree with you Clair. To say that nothing is absolute, I believe is erroneous. Truth for one is absolute.
Moral relativism is very dangerous. This is the sociological problem that America faces wherein it tries to be an ‘Autonomous’ culture, meaning one where each individual dictates laws unto themselves. Not talking about legalities here — which even if I did, would take us back to Judeo-Christian principles.
To say that something is right or wrong need not imply an imposition. Moral relativism erodes the ability to distinguish absolutely between that which is right, and that which is wrong; A very dangerous game to play in the world we live in.
