Dan Worra, a native of Rantoul, Illinois, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his role as Chief Executive Officer at Camp Korey. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Economics, he embarked on a distinguished 24-year career in the U.S. Navy, deploying five times and accumulating over 2,100 flight hours in various aircraft. During his naval service, Dan earned a Master's degree in Financial Management and received recognition for academic excellence at the Naval Postgraduate School.

Following his military career, Dan Worra transitioned to civilian life, serving as a Field Service Engineer and later as the Northwest Field Service Manager at General Electric. In 2015, he assumed the position of Executive Director at the Port of Anacortes, overseeing operations across multiple areas, including marinas, airports, and marine terminals.

Dan Worra's dedication to service extends beyond his professional endeavors. Actively engaged in civic affairs, he has served on several boards, including the Pacific Northwest Waterways Association and the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce. He is currently Treasurer of the Anacortes Rotary Club and contributes to his church's Stewardship Committee.

In his new role at Camp Korey, Dan Worra is committed to advancing the organization's mission of providing empowering and adaptive programs for children and families facing life-altering medical conditions. His belief in the power of diversity and his dedication to community service aligns closely with Camp Korey's values, making him an ideal leader for the organization's continued growth and impact. Dan Worra resides in Anacortes with his wife, Carrie Grant, and their two children, William and Carmen. His mantra, "mission, family, work hard, have fun," reflects his dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
