Great article. Really changed my opinion on 360. However, in terms of storytelling, 360 is great if it is part of the story. Like a theatre performance when actors comes out from the back of the theatre. Or, in a horror VR movie when someone is actually behind you!

But, having a 360 for the ‘cool’ factor, when the focus is in, lets say, 240 is not the best use of real estate. A better use may be having an interface where when you look outside the field of view, you actually see your real reality so that you do not feel as trapped in the sphere around you.
