We Wield Our Swords Without Fear, For the Battle Has Already Been Won.

I took this picture with Courage on my hip, a few days before he entered through Heaven’s gates on Jesus’ hip.

The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name. Exodus 15:3

The enemy whispers. He tries to instill fear in me while my heart is crushed and greiving Courage. But these whispered lies do not have to do with Courage. They are about something that I’ve been praying about every day for the last 5 months.
A few of his lies are:

  • I have his ear. My lies are more powerful than your prayers.
  • I am in control.
  • He is mine.

The Holy Spirit discerns the attack. He reveals to me the necessary move.
I look around me. The battleground is dark but I can see that we are all covered in mud, sweat, tears and blood. I swiftly pull out my sword. I’ve been in this battle long enough to have seen the miracles of God unfold on my behalf.

When satan attacks, whispers or prowls around us, we have to wonder, “what is it about me that is so threatening to him?”

Jesus moves in us beyond our abilities of what we can do. There are no limits to God. God is our source, our life.
God is working out in us something so great that the enemy spends his limited time battling God’s angels, to try and silence the light in us.

We don’t have to have all the strength and all the knowledge and power on the battlefield. He has it. We are plugged into Him and He gives it to us as we need it. (John 15:5)

I point at the lies, before they can take root in me, and I say:
I use the sword of the spirit as the Lord taught us, and I combat the lies with truth. I proclaim the truth in Jesus name.

“Jesus is Lord!
I am an heir, and co-ruler with Jesus. Because of what Jesus did for me.
You, satan, are Jesus’ footstool.
God calls me daughter.
Jesus calls me bride.
God has purpose for my life.
I am important to God. He loves me.
He is in control, even here.
God is my witness. He is my defense.
Jesus defeated you, satan, and your lies.
My trust is in God alone, the alpha and the omega, the everlasting.

God’s Word is alive, powerful, perfect, and pure — it is our sword.
James 1:22

The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” Psalm 110:1

God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Gen 1:7

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:17

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. Genesis 5:20

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19

They will lick the dust like a serpent, Like reptiles of the earth They will come trembling out of their fortresses; To the LORD our God they will come in dread And they will be afraid before You. Micah 7:17

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9–11

“He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace” 2 Timothy 1:9

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:10–18

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrew 4:16

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, Ephesians 3:20

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Song of Solomon 2:4

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14

The truth is in me. God calls me daughter. Jesus calls me bride. The treasure is hidden, it is for the one who wants Jesus. It is not understood by the outsider, the enemy. A covenant of love, so burning, it cannot be grasped in a lifetime. It takes everlasting life with God to be revealed.
