What is the Internet? Watch this video to know more about it.

This is my definition: the internet is a sort of network that connects us all because it has affected every single one of us. In most of the things we do in our everyday life, we use the internet. I know that some people can’t live without it and that they would probably get really bored. Just like me.It can be used for anything. So it is really something on everyone’s checklist. If it didn’t exist, I do not know what I would be doing aside from studying. Don’t get me wrong, I do love reading books and learning about new things but the internet is just so useful, well-thought-of and all of those great adjectives. But it is sort of overpowering us. Instead of playing with our friends or studying, sometimes we use the internet. Having it has some advantages and disadvantages.

These are the advantages:

  • we become more knowledgeable
  • we can use it for our home works or research
  • we get entertained
  • we get updated
  • we get to do whatever we want on the internet (e.g. listening to music, watching YouTube videos)

These are the disadvantages:

  • not getting to spend time with our families
  • getting low grades
  • using it too much that it runs out
  • using it for bad purposes
  • getting addicted to it

A lot of people would kill to have this in their homes so we should still be grateful for it. If it didn’t exist, how would we be able to get updated about the news? How would we learn new things? What I do when I use the internet is to watch YouTube videos, play games, listen to music, for my research, and for my home works.

Even if the internet is a bit slow, I know and believe that the Earth has more brilliant minds that can produce more. So we shouldn’t lose hope. Our world is so full of information that everywhere we look, we can see information. It’s just like the internet.
