Midnite’s Journey-One man’s Improbable Voyage Through America’s Reality

My name is Dana Silkiss. I have published a book that although was in my head for many years, took those long years for me to be able to put the experiences of my life to paper. There were two primary reasons for this. One was pertaining to legalities, the other was pertinent to my mental state. Having this in my head for so many years finally had to come out, as it was therapeutic, as well as, I believe, something the public should be informed about.

My book tells the true story of an incident and the follow up of it when I was an up and coming musician in my early twenties. I had flown into Daytona Beach, Florida to organize a band to tour and record. However, I was sidelined by a corrupt police sergeant and his web of corrupt state and government officials. The novel explains how this came about.

Trying to give a synopsis without giving away too many details of the book is not an easy task.

If the readers of this would like to know more, please let me know and I’ll figure a way to accomplish this task.

I will say that the events that occurred are a foreshadowing of our correctional institutions today, in modern times.

The run-in with the police occurred because I had stepped in and stopped the police from beating up a young Black man on the streets of Daytona.

Like what you read? Give Dana Silkiss a round of applause.
