Essential Elements in Successful Speaking. Sounds cool isn’t it. But lets discover all the things that this topic covers.

To start with, I want to say that i really liked this chapter because it gives a very inspirational poetry, which i enjoyed reading. In this chapter, the writer wants to talk about the essence of improvement. Improvement is a straight linear thing — do not give up, when you stand on one place. Improvement does not always mean you will get better at something if you do something once or twice. It is an overall result of all the effort and time that you devoted to certain action. Again, examples with Lincoln fully opens and shows all the stages and details of how a very prestigious man, improved his speaking abilities by speaking and speaking, everywhere, to everyone and he talked about anything. This chapter kind of reminds us of the previous one, where the main thesis was PRACTICE SPEAKING.

The second point of the chapter is: Persistence and dogged determination, like the tide, can lift all ships. Stick with it. When you read a book or a magazine which has the information that somehow belongs or happened with you, you start to read it with more attention. That’s what happened with me. By starting to read this chapter, i immediately, believe me, immediately remembered my childhood, where i had horrible hand writing. It all started in the school, when my teacher got mad with my hand writing, which i admit, was horrible. As a result, my mother was called to school and was told about my problem. This whole story finished with me, writing hundreds of pages every week. I cried, i complained, i did not want to write it, because i saw no point in the following deed. But after a year i realized, that when i practiced my handwriting, it gave result. I began to write more accurately, less mistakes and with much more faster pace. AND the thing that occured with my handwriting during one year, can confidently be called an IMPROVEMENT.
