Two 18-year-olds died within a nine week period apparently of drug overdoses after having collapsed at Fabric nightclub. This is a tragedy indeed.

There are many factors to be considered before a decision is made to directly close the club itself.

In this case, simply closing the venue is not a resolve to this problem, if that were the case there would be nowhere open at all.

It’s simple. When it comes to the subject of drug use, a complete overhaul of the current laws is in order. Along with better information and honest education across the board.

We should see this as a great opportunity to introduce test kits on a wider scale. Either in house or available to purchase before hand so that anyone who wishes to, can pick up a kit and check exactly what is in their drugs.

It’s not a hard system to employ, and will give people the opportunity to learn exactly what they are taking.
