Great article. I don’t know if you came from a broken family but I agree with everything you wrote there. One more thing to add is that some situations in life were handled well by parents — in a divorce situation, for example — that the child might not understand what it is that he or she is actually feeling and, more importantly, why they feel things like the need of attention and all.
That is why, in my opinion, people who come from a broken family normaly tend more to know themselves deeply rather than just “let things be as they are”. We want to understand them to accpet them.
