Speakeasy is a platform that lets you create Alexa Flash Briefings in just a few minutes. No coding or technical knowledge needed! https://www.getspeakeasy.co/

What Are Alexa Flash Briefings?

Flash Briefings are a type of Alexa Skill that lets people get the latest news, updates, and announcements from their favourite brands. With their Amazon Echo, users can simply ask, “Alexa, what’s my flash briefing?” and Alexa will play flash briefings from all the brands they’ve enabled in their Amazon account.

How Does Speakeasy Work?

Speakeasy lets you create Alexa Flash Briefings simply by filling out a form, just like you would on any other website. You don’t need to know how to code or hire a developer, simply add whatever you want Alexa to say in the briefing and it’s ready to go! The next time someone asks Alexa for the latest news, Alexa will deliver all the briefings you made.

Who Can Use Speakeasy?

Literally anyone! But really, Speakeasy is built for people or brands who want a simple way of reaching a new audience on the Alexa platform.

  • Media brands can use Speakeasy to deliver the latest news and headlines to their listeners in a convenient way.
  • Ecommerce brands can use Speakeasy to make briefings that announce their latest products or any upcoming in-store or online promotions.
  • Bloggers and influencers can use Speakeasy to become one of the first creators that are making content specifically for Alexa, and can establish themselves as a leader on the Alexa platform.

Pressed News, a startup that’s changing the way millennials get the news, is using Speakeasy to power their daily Flash Briefing. Pressed is different from other media outlets because they make the news easy to understand by being concise, speaking like your friend, and giving you context on difficult topics.

You can subscribe to their Daily Newsletter here.

Other brands that are using Alexa Flash Briefings to reach their audience include CTV, Global News, TSN, NPR, CBC, NPR, and the New York Times.
